Here is a GREAT way to honor your Cary High student athlete!

 

Parents can purchase a PERSONALIZED painted Imp with your student athlete’s name, sport and number on the walkway leading around CHS athletic areas!  (You can also add additional info as well!)

 

Each painted Imp is $50 and your payment goes directly to the athleteic team account of your choice! 

The Imp will remain on site from September 2018 to June 2019. 

 

Location choices include:

  • Cooper Field Stadium from bleachers to field house
  • Gym entrance (either side)
  • Area on/near baseball/softball fields.  

All spots are on a first come first serve basis - there are only a limited number of spots available.  

 

 

Come to the Cooper Field Area (Tuesday - 8/28) between 4pm - 8pm to select the perfect spot to honor your IMP!

 

 

Make checks payable to CHS Imp Club.

Friday, September 21 is our annual Hall of Fame game. This year we play Clayton High School at 7:00 pm. We are inducting 3 new members into the Cary High School Sports Hall of Fame: 

 

Jennifer Brown- Class of 1991- Women's Golf

Norjai Palma- Class of 2006- Track & Field (discus & shot put)

Richard D. Mochrie- Volunteer- Football, Track & Field

 

Below is the itinerary for the day's events. Please feel free to stop by and visit with our inductees at one or any of the events listed below.

 

4:30 pm           Meet in Heritage Hall for Hall of Fame Induction Reception- All are Welcome 

                          (food and drinks provided in the Charles H. Adams Gymnasium)

8:15 pm          Meet at Half time for Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

2018-19 Winter Sports Ticket-2-Play Dates Announced

The 2018-19 WINTER Sports Season begins on OCTOBER 31. Indoor Track & Field will begin on November 5. Please check each team's sports page for specific dates and times for try outs. 

Every student-athlete is required to pick-up a TICKET-2-PLAY by checking-in with the Athletic Director and Athletic Trainer to verify each athlete's eligibility BEFORE try outs begin. The TICKET-2-PLAY will then be given to the head coach on the 1st day the athlete attends try outs.

All athletes must have a current Pre-Participation Form on file and have registered for their sport on the goimps.com website.

Below are the dates and times to pick-up a TICKET-2-PLAY. Each Sport has a specific day assigned to them. Check-in will be in the lobby between the main gym and the auxiliary gym DURING LUNCH. 

Men’s Basketball       Tuesday, October 16

Women’s Basketball Wednesday, October 17

Swimming/ Diving    Thursday, October 18

Wrestling                  Tuesday, October 23

  • Hyrdation Testing will take place October 24-26 at lunch

Indoor Track & Field Thursday, November 8

 

**NOTE: A parent, sibling or friend/teammate can pick-up your TICKET-2-PLAY if you cannot make any of the dates above.

High School Sports is more than just a fun part of the High School experience.  Studies have shown that High School Sports develops a “Well Rounded Adult.”  Athletics teaches teamwork, cooperation, and builds confidence.  Wake County provides less than $900 total yearly for all our student-athletes, for ALL of our 35 Varsity and JV teams.

The IMP Club, through fundraising efforts, provides more than 60% of the CHS Athletic Department Budget.  98% of the money raises goes directly to support the student athletes (i.e. facilities maintenance and repair, uniforms, etc.)

The IMP Club needs your help to support the fundraising efforts - training is provided.


Get INVOLVED - come to the next Club meeting to see how YOU can help - it's FUN!

The 2018-19 SPRING Sports Season begins on FEBRUARY 13. Please check each team's sports page for specific dates and times for try outs.
